Hello! My name is Avery. I’m a dream-chasing, creative-type fueled by fresh air, black coffee, and good conversation. I believe in authenticity, kindness + truth [Proverbs 3:3-6].

The Weekender is about embracing the beauty, mess + adventure in the everyday. We aren’t simply working for the weekend, but seeking opportunity for fulfillment and striving for balance daily. It’s about seeing the world and experiencing it’s beauty with those who mean the most to us.

About Me

Born and raised in Colorado, I swapped the mountains for the beaches and moved to San Diego for seven years. After a whirlwind weekend trip to San Francisco, the city stole my heart- so I said goodbye, quit my job, packed my bags and made the move to SF in January 2016.

A lover of adventure (yet a homebody at heart!), I am a fan of spontaneous road trips, wine and cheese picnics, raw cookie dough and heart-to-hearts.

When I’m not writing and working, you’ll find me teaching spin class in the city, hosting dinner parties, and falling more and more in love with my city every day. Pour yourself a glass of wine or nice cup of tea and linger a while, won’t you? Cheers!
